Very Small car: 2 door smart car or panda – 1 x 4 Litre Tin. Compact car: 2 door golf,fiesta,Audi A3 – 2 x 4 Litre Tins.

Base coats

Some colours require the use of a base coat and may change the total amount of tins you need to order.
Lets take a car size that needs 3 x 4 litre tins and you want to use Black or Yellow. So black needs no base coat as it is a strong colour so 3 x tins of matte black and you are done.
yellow is a weak colour and needs our nardo grey as a base so 1 x tin of nardo grey and 2 x tins of yellow or if you want very bright yellow then 1 grey, 1 white and 1 yellow tin.

Spray Equipment

FullDip FD650 or Standard compressor setup 1.7-2.0 tip at 20-28 PSI

With compressor fed spray guns the higher the PSI, the more full dip will atomise and float away into the air. your full dip spray job will look smooth but may feel very dry to touch after many coats and maybe difficult to peel. So keep pressure low to get nice wet coats at about 24 PSI. The electric FD650 is great for full dip because of the very low pressure and you can spray glossifier glossy top coats. FD650 is not recommended for use with other paint products.
